Our Festive Menu is specially created for the season and offers a range of dishes from festive favourites and warming winter dishes to contemporary culinary cuisine all made using fresh seasonal ingredients. With many dishes Gluten and/or dairy free adaptable there is something to suit everyone’s taste.

Get into the festive spirit and join us this Christmas Eve for a delicious three-course festive meal, available for both lunch and dinner.

With a choice of dishes ranging from traditional festive favourites to delicious seasonal specialties, there’s something to tempt everyone. Finish your meal with a tasty mince pie—the perfect way to celebrate the magic of Christmas before the big day!

Your credit card details* will be taken to secure your reservation and menu choices to be submitted in advance (using the Christmas Food Order Form) Please do not submit your food order until you have made your table reservation.

*Your credit card details will be taken to secure your reservation.  No money will be deducted from your credit card at this time, however, failure to notify The Black Horse of cancellation without a minimum of 48hrs notice will result in a charge of £20 per person. ‘No-shows’ on the day will be charged the full price per person.

If you suffer from either Gluten or Dairy intolerance, you will be pleased to know our gluten-free and dairy-free dishes are clearly marked with either GF or DF symbols on our Christmas menu.  Dishes that are not gluten or dairy free but can be adapted to gluten/dairy free upon request are clearly marked with GFA or DFA.  Please be aware that if a dish is adapted some of the accompaniments for this dish may vary or be removed from the dish entirely.  To ask about a particular dish, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

When completing your order form for your Christmas meal please ensure to mark the relevant GF or DF box if you require that particular dish to be adapted to gluten or dairy free (where available).

We are taking online booking of parties up to 8 people, however, if you wish to book a party of 9 people or more you will need to contact The Black Horse directly either by telephone on 01462 811398 or via email.

Once you have completed our Christmas Food Order Form, please download and complete our Excel Food Order Form so that you can keep track of everybody’s individual dish choices, helping your party run smoothly on the day!

Wine can be ordered in advance for the day.  Please see our wine list to view our extensive selection of wines.

Please note we cannot charge for individual drinks on the day.  All drinks will be added to the final bill, which can be divided equally between guests.

As your Christmas meal is chosen in advance, it’s very easy to forget what you’ve ordered when you come to dine, that’s why we strongly recommend downloading the Printable Place Cards we’ve created especially to help your Christmas meal at The Black Horse run smoothly.

Just click the button on the right/bottom of the screen to download, open in Microsoft Word, fill in your party guests names on the front and individual meal order (abbreviated so that it fits!) on the reverse, print out, cut along the dotted lines and fold in half to complete your personalised place card.  Bring them along to your meal and decorate your table with them.

Top Tip: Print them out onto printer friendly gloss card to give them a quality finish

Our chefs have crafted a special 3-course New Year’s Eve Lunch menu, featuring a delectable selection of dishes to choose from, served from 12pm to 5pm in our beautifully decorated restaurant.

To make this meal even more memorable, enjoy a complimentary glass of prosecco or non-alcoholic fizz upon arrival.

A separate New Year’s Eve children’s menu is available for our little diners aged 10 years and under.
