Hello,

We came for a group booking of 14 people for Sunday lunch on 17th August, and we just wanted to say thank you for such a lovely afternoon.  We didn’t get round to filling out the comment form, and I apologise for not emailing sooner , but we had a really lovely afternoon, lots of positive comments about the quality of the food, and such professional service from your staff which really did make a wonderful afternoon for our celebration meal.

Four of us arrived for lunch recently, we had not booked but that was not a problem, we were not sure where we wanted to eat and were shown round the entire restaurant until we found a table we liked by the window, we were then shown to a very comfortable seating area where we had a drink first before eating.  

We have never been to a pub/restaurant where the service, attention to detail, friendliness and politeness of staff were as good as this, 11 of 10! We had the set lunchtime menu and the food was amazing and our waitress couldn’t have been better.

We can highly recommend this beautiful country pub and will certainly return.

Superb celebratory meal for a combined birthday & wedding anniversary as usual. Food is of the highest standard. We wouldn’t contemplate going anywhere else for a meal.

Just a short note to say how much we enjoyed our meal last evening. We had the promotional special menu and felt it was good value. It was tasty, good quality produce and the staff as usual were friendly and welcoming.

Dear Sirs,

I just wanted to say a big thank you for everything you did for our party of 13 last night (Fri 17th). The extra little touches with the card and writing on the dessert plate added to a wonderful evening. The staff, food and building itself are wonderful. We only live in Upper Caldecote and are kicking ourselves that we have not discovered you before.

We will most definitely be returning in the very near future. Thank you once again and keep up the good work.

I would like to thank You and Tom, Rebecca, Ray and all who waited on us for a brilliant night out, as usual the food and service was astounding and we all had a fantastic time, I do hope we were not too rowdy and that you let us come back again.

Also the Friday when I ate with Nick, Lesley and Lesley, the ambiance is always warm and relaxing its a joy to spend the evening there.

May I extend my thanks to the team at the Black Horse for the attentive service and lovely food sampled on our visit to your establishment on the 16th July. We appreciated the personal nature of your staff as they took our drink and food orders and explained about the specials on offer. Two of our party ordered steaks which were not only cooked to perfection but generally accepted to be the best they’d sampled in many a month. The desserts offered a different twist on a few classics and were devoured with relish. We shall definately be booking a return visit.
